About South Park Bowls Club
Our Heritage

Darlington South Park Bowls Club was established in 1896 and has been a key part of the local sporting community ever since. Set within the historic South Park – the town's oldest public park – the club has seen generations of players pass through its gates.
The club has enjoyed many successes in local and regional and national competitions over the decades and continues to thrive today thanks to the dedication of its members and volunteers. Our rich history is matched only by our enthusiasm for the future of the game.

Becoming a member
Everyone is welcome!
We'd like to encourage anyone interested to come and get involved with the club. The first stage, apart from chatting to any of the members at the park, is to send us some contact details below and our membership secretary will be in touch.
Whether you’re new to bowls or an experienced player, we’d love to welcome you. We offer several membership options to suit different needs:
-

We generally recommend having an introductory session with one of our members, to just to get and understanding of the game. This is completely free and our membership secretary will facilitate this. You don't need your own bowls, we have plenty in the clubhouse you can try.
